Broadcast Message/Auto Shutdown

This function can be used to automatically sends a message to all users of any Simple Accounting application on your network.

Procedure For Broadcast Message

  1. In the left-hand pane, select the application to broadcast a message to. All users of that application will be sent the message.
  2. Type your message in the right-hand pane.
  3. Press either:
    • Selection – Send the message only to the machines/applications you selected in Step #1.
    • All – Send the message to all machines/applications, regardless of selections (This is the same thing as selecting all displayed machines/applications.)

Procedure For Auto-Shutdown

This procedure is very much like sending a Broadcast Mesage. However, in addition to sending a message to users, this procedure will automatically shut down the selected users’ applications.

In general you should begin by sending all users a warning message.

Now, in the Shutdown pane, again press either the Selection or All buttons to shut down the Simple Accounting applications you have selected in Step #1.

Auto Shutdown will not shut down a Simple Accounting application in which a timed process or a batch process is currently running (such as Global Calculate Usage).
