These menus allow you to view and directly edit the two text files which control many preferences set in Simple Accounting.

Improperly editing these files can change the behavior of Simple Accounting in ways you may not like and even cause the program to malfunction. You should only access these screens if you have specific instructions to do so from Suntower Systems.

Two Files, One Name

All users have access to their personal Initialization file (which is stored on each user’s machine in the Windows folder as SIMPLE.INI). Most of the settings in this file may be set from the User Options screen.

Only the Master Employee ID (set in Global Options under the Security Tab) has access to the Global Initialization file, also named SIMPLE.INI but which is stored in your server’s Simple Accounting folder. The settings in this file apply to all users of Simple Accounting.
