Suntower Systems To Give Auto Industry Kick Start!
In a surprise announcement today, the United States Department Of Energy (D.O.E.) has awarded an unspecified amount of money to the partners of Suntower Systems (not large enough to warrant an acronym) to develop software aimed at optimising fuel economy in newer electric and hybrid cars. Speaking on behalf of Suntower Systems, Senior Partner Aodh O’Dhonellaigh remarked, ‘We always wanted to help with global warming and the new economy. But like many of these new cars, we just didn’t know how to get started. Get it? Started? I kill me.’
In a press release, DOE Spokesperson Ethel B Mayan, commented that, ‘with over 50 billion dollars in resources available from President Obama’s stimulus plan the agency was now able to adopt a new and innovative approach to funding R&D. This concept, dubbed the ‘spaghetti against the wall approach’ will insure that just about anyone with an idea can get the dollars they need try and crack this whole energy problem.’
Mr. O’Dhonellaigh further remarked that he was proud to run a small business in America in 2010 because ‘there was surely no other country in the world that currently offered so many opportunities for federal funding of unproven ideas. So long as you don’t mind filling out a lot of forms, that is!’
Spokespersons for Suntower Systems offered no immediate details on it’s plans for actually utilising the funds but when prodded by reporters, Mr. O’Dhonellaigh did indicate that quite a bit of research would now be forthcoming into the effects of first class plane travel on tropical climates.
