Simple Accounting can automatically read in business cards scanned with the Corex CardScan® business card scanner and software. Scanned records are transferred to the Contacts Browse whenever you have this browse open.
Initial Setup
To make this happen, your CardScan needs to be set up to interface with Simple Accounting. To do this, copy the file SIMPLE.S from your Simple Accounting folder to the CardScan folder under Program Files.
Scanning Procedure
1. Start Simple Accounting
2. Open the Contacts Browse
3. Start Card Scan. You should see the green Suntower Systems sun on the CardScan main menu, indicating that CardScan is aware of SAFE.
4. Begin scanning cards! After you scan in a few, tell Card Scan to transfer the scanned cards into Simple Accounting. When you do, the contacts will magically appear in the Contacts Browse.
