TAPI

The Microsoft Telephony Application Programming Interface. A software standard in Windows which allows programs to interact with your modem or phone system. The Dialer uses TAPI to communicate with the default windows telephone dialer (usually the Phone Dialer application in the Programs|Accessories folder–this is specified in TELEPHON.INI). In this way, the Simple Accounting Dialer can utilize any type of modem or phone system, so long as it is TAPI compatible.
