Location ID

Location ID

An eighteen digit code used to identify various transactions in Simple Accounting by the location at which they were generated and at precisely what time. This is useful for companies with Remote Offices where it is important to be able identify where a transaction was created and when.

The Location ID consists of three segments:

  • The first three digits indicate the office at which it was generated.

  • The next eight digits indicate the date the transaction was generated in yyyy-mm-dd format.

  • The final seven digits indicate the time (to the nearest hundredth of a second) when the transaction was created.

For Example:  313 20000615 0000100

  • 313 means the transaction was created at the Detroit office

  • 20000615 indicates that the transaction was created on June 15, 2000.

  • 0000100 shows that the transaction was created at precisely one second past midnight.
